Open Records

The Public Information Act, chapter 552 of the Texas Government Code, guarantees the public access to information maintained by a government agency. It is TCCO's policy to provide the public with the fullest possible access to public information. If you wish to request records under the Public Information Act please refer to the following requirements.

Requests for public information must be made in writing. Telephone requests are not considered public information requests. Your written request should include your name, address, and as much description as you can provide regarding the records you are requesting. Public Information requests may be submitted in writing to the Texas Civil Commitment Office via hand delivery, mail, fax, or email.

Email requests will be accepted only if they are sent to the designated address.
